A Radiator Booster Mk2 should cut the cost of running the average
combi boiler by at least £30 a year (gas) or £60 a
year (electric), and probably much more. It does that by maximising
the room-heating power of a radiator, allowing your boiler to
switch off a little earlier.
The probable saving claimed is cautious. Reducing the time an
average 15kw electric boiler is on by just one hour a week will
save you £93.60 over twelve months if a kilowatt-hour of
electricity costs you 12p. All things considered, the twelve-month
saving for an equivalent gas combi would be around £46.
In the colder months reduced running by two or three hours a
week thanks to a Radiator Booster is common.
The Radiation Booster itself needs less than one watt DC to run
(adaptor supplied). Six months non-stop running costs just over
£1. It extends from 40cm to 73cm (15.7" to 28.7")
long.
