Arthriti-UM+ paste is a fortified dietary supplement (for dogs
and cats only) which:
- helps maintain pets' bone development and
bone growth
- helps protect the joints
- helps pets' bodies repair weak or damaged
joints
- provides increased elasticity in pets' bones
and tendons
- maintains pets' joint mobility and suppleness
in old age
It is available in three formats:
- the original basic tablets Arthriti-UM

- a stronger form of the tablets (Arthriti-UM+
90) (90 tablets)

Active ingredients
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a major building block of proteoglycan,
the component of cartilage which stimulates the production of
synovial fluid. It has been shown to reduce the symptoms of pets'
osteoarthritis and to slow, even halt, the progression of pets'
arthritis
Shark cartilage
Shark cartilage contains the powerful anti-inflammatory agent
chondroitin sulphate, which has been shown to stop the breakdown
of cartilage and stimulate its repair. It is essential to cartilage
metabolism, maintenance and regeneration. It also attracts fluid
around pets' joints to aid lubrication.
Manganese Gluconate
Manganese gluconate is essential to the formation of chondroitin
sulphate.
Green-Lipped Mussel
Green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculata) is a rich source
of the building blocks of our connective tissues which also has
anti-inflammatory properties.
Devil's Claw
Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum Procumbens), a native
plant of South Africa, has been used for treatment of rheumatoid
arthritis and osteoarthritis in humans and pets for many years.
Copper gluconate
Copper gluconate is directly involved in the metabolism of pets'
connective tissue and, thanks to the enzymic and catalytic processes
it stimulates, is also involved in pets' bone growth.
Side effects
All Mark & Chappel products are over-the-counter pets' products
which do not need a veterinary prescription. There are no known
side effects of Arthriti-UM. It is recognised as less harsh than
some prescription drugs.
Dosage
The dosage instructions on carton are for recommended periods
of treatment. These can be safely extended to continuous use if
the condition requires further treatment.
