The Wright-Patterson US Air Force base in Ohio (US) specialises in the development of electromagnetic and weather modification technology. According to a scientist working there, two different projects are being conducted. The first explores the effectiveness of laying 'chemtrails' of aluminium oxide and barium stearate to create artificial 'sunscreen' cloud cover to reflect solar radiation back into space to alleviate global warming. The second explores the role of 'chemtrails' in the US Military's HAARP project (see Ed).

Air traffic controllers across the US have been told to divert traffic due to military exercises, and to bring traffic in to land at lower descent paths because of experiments taking place at high altitude which may obscure readings on their radar screen. Also, pilots have reported formations of Air Force tanker planes spraying at high altitude and just such obscuring. This is almost certainly due to man-made clouds of fine aluminium particles such as those found in laboratory tests of chemtrail-contaminated rain carried out in Espanola, Ontario in the summer of 1999. The laboratory analysis found reflective quartz particles and levels of aluminium five times higher than Ontario's maximum permissible health safety standards in the chemtrail fallout.

Writing to the letters page of Positive Health (1.3.04 p57), Michael Irving states that many countries are now conducting 'chemtrail' experiments, resulting in high levels of unattributed deaths and chronic illnesses. He cites a recent chemical-filled storm on the Isle of Man, leading to babies being hospitalised with breathing difficulties and the recent 'flu' outbreak in central US for which no virus can be identified. This occurred just weeks after a massive 'chemtrail' programme.

Ed.- (i) The tell-tale sign of 'chemtrail' laying is where one or more aircraft deliberately create a cross-hatching of vapour trails in the sky. As these dissipate they blend into a hazy cloud.

(ii) As part of the its ‘Star Wars’ programme, the US Military is developing an earth-shattering weapon of war known as HAARP (High Frequency Active Aural Project). Its aim is to control the 'electrojet' (a huge stream of electromagnetic energy which flows down into the polar ice cap) in order to warm specific areas of a region of the upper atmosphere called the ionosphere to the point where they produce a curved lens capable of focusing huge amounts of electromagnetic radiation on desired enemy targets.
