Vasectomies
increase prostate cancer risk
Two US studies showed that men who have vasectomies may run a
60% increased risk of contracting prostate cancer. Although the
degree of increased risk has been challenged on the grounds of
biased sampling, the current recommendation in the US is now that
men considering vasectomy should be briefed on the possible link
with prostate cancer so that they can make an informed decision.
