Dairy-free diet effective against breast cancer
When Professor Jane Plant was given three months to live after recurrent outbreaks of breast cancer, she decided to try a dairy-free diet. Remarkably, the tumour began to reduce immediately and had disappeared within five weeks. Seven years later and still on a dairy-free diet, she has had no recurrence and is generally much healthier.

Professor Plant has now set up the charity Breast Cancer Understanding and Prevention (BACUP) and has written a book about her experiences.

Ed.- A study funded by the Imperial Cancer Research Fund found that men who didn’t eat meat or dairy products had a reduced level of a substance which has been linked to prostate cancer.
