Canadian researchers found that giving Tamoxifen to healthy women to ward off breast cancer gave them a fourfold risk of developing womb cancer and double the risk of deep vein thrombosis. The researchers recommended that, unless a woman’s predicted risk of breast cancer was three times greater than average, the risks associated with Tamoxifen outweighed any benefits.
