Organic solvents increase risk of MS
When Riise Trond and colleagues from Bergen University (Norway)
compared the medical histories of 11,542 painters, 36,899 construction
workers and 9,314 food-processing workers across 16 years (1970-1986),
they found that painters (who have high exposure to a variety
of solvents) ran twice the risk of developing MS.
